Fifteenth Effort: Final touches before the event

Visit with grandma hippo watercolour

I cannot believe how time has flown by so quickly. The event is happening tomorrow evening! My father and I spent the entire couple of days framing over 50 pieces of art and writing descriptors for about 150 pieces or so. Signs have been made, silent auctions and raffle items have been wrapped, a speech written, and volunteers briefed on their timelines. I am very nervous, but I’m hopeful. It has been stressful at times, but I would gladly do this all over again. Have I found my calling in event planning? … probably not, but if the event is successful I would love to do something like this again. Either way, the fundraising doesn’t stop here. I will say it now, and it won’t be the last time, Thank you to everyone who has read this blog, commented, subscribed, donated, bought a ticket, and volunteered their time to the event! I wouldn’t have been motivated or able to do this without you.

Looking forward to tomorrow. Finally!
